Stephanie Funk is the founder of the Funk Firm.  She is a native Nevadan, and magna cum laude graduate of the William S. Boyd School of Law, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She has been practicing law in Northen Nevada since 2012.  Ms. Funk has a passion for providing top quality legal services that are accessible to the everyday person.  As a wife and mother, she knows that the issues often facing her clients are emotional and difficult to think about, and sometimes come during a time when her client is grieving the loss of a loved one.  Ms. Funk feels privileged to be a critical part of her client’s journey.  Throughout her career, she has drafted several hundred estate plans and has handled well over 100 probates.  She has prevailed as lead counsel for multiple trials before the Washoe County District Court of Nevada and has successfully defended multiple appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court.

 

After gaining invaluable experience as a partner at a full-service Reno law firm, Stephanie Funk founded the Funk Firm so she could better tailor her services to her client’s estate planning, probate and trust related needs.  Ms. Funk and her team of experienced paralegals have carefully curated every aspect of the firm towards that focus.    

  

In her free time, you will usually find her on the sidelines of a field, court, or dance studio cheering on her children at their various and ever-changing activities.  Throughout the years, she has volunteered with many local non-profits, and is a past president of Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association.  She has been voted on by her peers as one of Northern Nevada’s legal elite every year since 2014.
